Community Relations
Policies relating to raising and maintaining Curtin's broad public profile, including marketing and consultancy. This also includes relationships and partnerships with the wider community. -
Facilities
Policies relating to the management of Curtin's consumables and physical assets, which includes buildings and land allotments either owned, rented or leased by the University. This includes the management of working, storage or living space within buildings, as well as the acquisition, construction, fitting-out, management, maintenance, protection and disposal of property. It also includes information relating to parking, public transport and campus maps.

Finance
Policies relating to the management of Curtin's financial resources including accounting, financial planning, insurance Information and payroll. -
Human Resources
Policies relating to managing staff at Curtin, including recruitment, employment, staff development, working conditions and workplace relations. Curtin staff include permanent, temporary and part-time staff, people working under traineeships and apprenticeships.

Information Management
Policies relating to the management of information resources such as web content, documents (electronic and paper), email, photographs and videos. It includes the management of classification schemes, required metadata elements and information access and security.
It also includes information relating to recordkeeping and the disposal and permanent archiving of information.

Information and Communication Technology
Policies relating to acquiring, testing, licensing, implementing, maintaining and disposal of computer systems, including software and hardware, and network infrastructure and systems security and support. It also includes information relating to communication network systems, audiovisual hardware and software, telecommunications, mobile communications and the technical aspects of the Curtin website.

Legal
Policies relating to the provision of legal services to the University. This includes contractual arrangements and agreements that Curtin has entered into, the handling of legal disputes, freedom of information and public interest disclosure. This also includes university governance, the management of intellectual property and auditing. -
Library Services
Policies relating to the provision of Curtin's library services. This includes the acquisition, organisation and management of the collection as well as the provision of assistance to Library patrons, lending services, resource description access and client support. -
Research
Policies relating to the management Curtin's research activities, including the administration of research grants and fellowships, management of animal and human ethics protocols, cooperative research and research publications. This also includes information relating to the commercialisation of an idea or invention. -
Strategic Management
Policies relating to the broad systematic planning for Curtin at all levels and the development of long term strategies, including Curtin's vision, mission, objectives and continuous improvement processes. This includes strategic plans, enabling plans, operational plans and risk management plans. This also includes information relating to policy development, university reporting requirements and changes to organisational structure, including the establishment and review of areas. -
Students
Policies relating to the administration and support of students. This includes student admissions, enrolments, progress and graduation as well as student support, the student experience, disputes and complaints. -
Teaching and Learning
Policies relating to the structure and management of courses, curriculum design and the methods of teaching as well as the means of assessment of students.
