Disclaimer and definitions


Although the University aims to ensure that the legislation information on the legislation website is accurate and up to date, the legislation information may be subject to change from time to time. Accordingly, the University:

  1. reserves the right to change the contents of the legislation website;
  2. makes no warranty, representation or undertaking, whether express or implied, and assumes no responsibility or liability for, whether direct or indirect, the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any legislation information; and
  3. assumes no responsibility or liability for, whether direct or indirect, any loss (including loss of profits), damage or injury (including death) a person may suffer:
    1. arising from any person's use of, or reliance on, any legislation information (including any such information which may be incomplete, out of date, wrong, inaccurate or misleading) expressed or implied in, or coming from, the legislation website;
    2. whether caused by any negligent or other unlawful act or omission of, by or on behalf of the University; and
    3. even if the University has been advised of the possibility of any such loss, damage or injury.


Legislation information means:

  1. any information, data or advice that may be contained in or referred to on the legislation website, including in respect of the Curtin University Act 1966 (WA) and the University's statutes, rules and by-laws; and
  2. which may include links to internet websites which are external to the University's internet website at

Legislation website means the internet website so named, which, for the avoidance of doubt:

  1. includes legislation information; and
  2. forms part of the University's internet website at

University means Curtin University, a body corporate established pursuant to the Curtin University Act 1966 (WA), and includes its officers, employees, contractors and agents.
